Exploring AI's Role in Accessibility...
We often talk about the bad side of AI (ethics, perpetuating biases, content theft), but AI has a huge potential to also help improve the lives of many people, from generative alternative text for images, voice preservation, voice recognition, and more.
Some recipes say to poach in chicken stock. Personally, I find that's a bit much so I poach my chicken in water with half a chicken stock cube crumbled into it. Just adds a little extra flavour to the result.

04.02.2025 01:36 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Sunday night satisfaction: I've completed writing a new TPGi Tutor training course, Introduction to Mobile Accessibility. It still has to pass the Knowledge Center credibility tests, but I'm pretty happy with it. It's my job, but TBH I think writing a novel would be easier.

26.12.2024 07:14 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0That is true, too. But just a few grapes or sultanas can kill a dog.
24.12.2024 09:45 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Some fruits are fine: apples, various berries, melon, bananas, mango - but grapes in any form cause kidney failure and, in sufficient amounts, death.
24.12.2024 09:41 — 👍 4 🔁 1 💬 2 📌 0Grapes in any form. Deadly.
24.12.2024 09:35 — 👍 2 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0I would guess that also extends to having conversations with the thought leader and turning those into articulate, well-formed writing.
21.12.2024 03:36 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0One of the things I appreciate about Bluesky is that it has brought back together (some of) the accessibility folks who helped make Twitter such a great space for accessibility learners circa 2020 to 2022. Seeing some of these folks show up here has been great. Like getting the gang back together.

13.12.2024 02:46 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The "kids" version at least has gone beyond Back to the Future to become a cultural reference in itself, used in lots of contexts. No problemo.
