Pawpaw season is here 😋

Inside a crumbling stone house, sunlight filters through broken roof beams, casting sharp rays across the dusty, uneven wooden floor. Several floorboards have collapsed, revealing dark gaps beneath, while the weathered walls are covered in layers of graffiti. The largest scrawl, painted in bold black letters, reads “TIME OUT.” At the far end of the room, a single red rocking chair sits facing the corner, upright and empty. A shaft of light streams in from the open doorway next to the chair. Beyond the doorway, a faint view of the surrounding forest is visible, pale against the shadows inside. This image reminds us that some places hold memories, and not all of them are nice.

"Time Out" is a place that doesn't forget. It's a portrait of emotional memory, of things that leave a mark.

Just posted a new version of an old favorite of mine.

Any Port in a Storm, by Cynthia Decker. A wine glass sits on a worn wooden table. It's surrounded by other wine glasses of different shapes and sizes, the wall behind them is plain aged plaster. The scene is lit with a wash of soft reddish gold light and backlit in gray green tones. A crumpled white linen napkin sits on the table behind the glasses. The largest glass in front is just under half filled with a ruby red wine. Over the glass is a singular stormcloud, raining furiously into the glass and turning the surface of the wine into the wild foam tipped waves of a storm. A small fishing vessel is cresting the wave inside the glass, weathering the storm.

Hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day. It’s going to be a tough one for me though.

My Mom’s health has taken a major turn for the worse this year and some days she doesn’t even recognize me. Going to try to remember her like this though. She was always my biggest fan.

Pyramids I’ve rendered over the years.

The image shows a man living on a wooden bridge platform suspended underneath a larger arched stone bridge. The larger bridge has three arches and he resides in the walls of the center arch. A doorway can be seen on one side of his platform, leading to the interior of the bridge support. The large bridge is ancient, made of gray stone, mossy and crumbling. The atmosphere is golden and foggy, it is late in the day. He's hanging laundry on a line suspended between the larger bridge's walls. “Reawakening”

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Spring render that was unabashedly blooming and colorful. The goal here was simply to fill every pixel with colorful new life and sunshine. After a long winter I really needed something bright, warm and alive on my desktop.
