Very modern Democrat to say that socialism is whatever the polling data says it is.

we have to disassemble and dissolve the democratic party and save the few socialists forced to run underneath their party. it's a dead, useless corpse shambling on to its next political loss. a complete and utter failure composed largely of people just clocking in to keep their salaries.

My teachers used to tell me that Hitler was a persuasive and hypnotic speaker. Overtime I've learned that he mostly just told a lot of people what they wanted to hear and who to blame.

"In the future we'll all have been against this."

The β€œthey made me take down my posts critical of them platforming a Nazi but I won’t resign because that’s giving up space” line was just…my man, the space is ash. There’s nothing left to hold on to.

on top of everything Leelee says here, which is correct across the board, "one of the best writers in the country" is an absurd statement.

It is endlessly wild to me that, in 2025, so many Politics Knowers simply accept what is put in front of them. "Oh, we're talking about teenage trans girls playing sports, ok!"

Why? Why are we talking about that & not something else? Who decided we're talking about that, and why?

As someone who teaches community college students, they seem to know how to read just fine. They do, however, seem to struggle with connecting thoughts and ideas across long forms of writing, like essays or chapters. So it seems like a cross problem of timed standardized tests and attention spans.
