As part of the NextGenCarbon project and the @esa.int CCI Biomass project, our #NGC colleague Maurizio Santoro from GAMMA presented results from early BIOMASS satellite data at the PolInSAR-BIOMASS Workshop 2026 this week. The data already demonstrate strong potential and prompted lively discussion.

Just published, a land-mark paper by Annemarie Eckes-Shephard et al.! It assesses the performance of a new generation of Demography-enabled Dynamic Global Vegetation (D-DGVMs), that attempt to simulate the changing size and age structure of trees in forests.
