Long-term impacts of heatwaves on accelerated ageing - Nature Climate Change Ageing is linked to environmental factors. This study shows that although participants gradually adapted to heat over time, cumulative exposure to heatwaves had stable and adverse impacts on ageing, especially among manual workers, rural residents and those with limited air conditioning.

The 4th episode of our Nature-based Therapy Podcast is out! Johan Östberg interviews Dr Kathleen Wolf, a leading expert on the multiple relations between #trees, #greenspaces, and our #health and #wellbeing.

The work quantifies factors like the percentage of #greenspace in a #neighbourhood, #proximity of public #parks, and the distance to #coastal areas, to determine whether people living in greener environments build stronger #psychological #resilience & are better equipped to handle #stress over time.

CS1 uses data from the #UnitedKingdom Household Longitudinal Study (UKHLS), which tracks individuals over time, collecting information about their living conditions, mental health, and life experiences. The analysis spans four waves of data (2012–2017), covering around 22,800 #households.

This year we are featuring the different case studies on nature-based therapy we carry out across Europe. Read more about the set-up and progress of our CS1 in this interview with James Grellier at the @universityofexeter.bsky.social 's Medical School.
