Blood and Wild Places is in final edit. It is the last novella before the prequel to Chosen of The Dark Realm, and it leads directly into the prequel, as does The Forge.

I know more established authors out there will roll their eyes, but my baby is just over 6 months in the wild and I get a massive rush when a reader sends me a pic of receiving my book.

UK family vacation is over, landed back in Perth tonight. I had high hopes of flight-time writing, but it didn't work. A few hundred words, some editing, but not a lot. It works when it's just me, but otherwise I am too conscious of everyone else and cant lose myself. Interesting insight.

My 8 yr old daughter had a sore throat, and with everything she hears, she got scared about illness and said: "if I die will we all be together? Will I see you like I do now?" I cried. Hug your people. It is all that matters.

Absolutely. I have had a shifting relationship with the film changes. Initially, I was against altering a completed story, then I understood the value of creative enhancement. However, the original is something produced at a specific moment in time and should be celebrated and preserved as such.

Half-way through a 4x week vacation with my English family where we have not been together for 14years. It's... a roller coaster. It is getting a bit peopley. Please pray for me.

Just sent copies of Chosen to four people very dear to me. My three closest friends I grew up with as a teenager, with whom I had so many adventures; and my developmental editor that took the ramblings of a would-be writer and helped craft them into a book and me into an author. Great day.

And finally the wet has come to Western Australia. It has been an amazing spring, summer and autumn of warm blue skies, but this is a strong refreshing change. The crispness to the air, and the sound of rain on the roof and the leaves in the garden, is revitalising.
