06.02.2026 13:51 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you. I'm mostly on Twitter because I'm shadow banned over there so I don't get swept up in politics. But this week has been super intense over there.
I miss Blue Sky. β€οΈ
Hello, Blue Sky! I haven't been here in a long time! π
11.09.2025 03:36 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Anyway, 5 hours into this editing session and I'm done editing Act 2A from the synopsis.
29.06.2025 08:43 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If I'm writing a retro slasher, the big reveal at the end has to be absolutely wild, right?
Like no one wants reach the last chapter and not spit out their popcorn going, "Wait, what??? That shit is bananas!!!" π²π΅βπ«π€―
RIGHT??!
Me (to me): Just how crazy do we want to make this story??? π€
My horror-infused brain:
Working on Act 2 edits for my retro slasher.
It's going really well.
But we're only like 2 hours into what will probably be another 15 hour editing session.
Ask me how I am in hour fifteen. π
Those ideas that go, "Psst...come here. Let me talk to you for a second."
And then fifteen hours later, you're still working on updates for that idea.
That book is just a bunch of plot twists in a trenchcoat. π
And I love it. π
Now, moving onto something else, because I burned out on that idea...badly.
In the best way possible, though. I literally word-vomited the entire plot in one go.
Welp, my new retro 80s slasher WIP just became an 8k+ synopsis! π
Itβs a vintage horror pastiche with a hyper-modern twist (social media + dark web meets prom night carnage).
Think Prom Night Franchise, Pretty Dead Queens by Alexa Donne, Jawbreaker.
Vibes ππͺππ:

me, editing my thriller novel: oooh, this just got twisted!!! π΅
translation: the story is coming along splendidly.
Me, two seconds after a supporting character walks into a scene: Twist-Character. Killer's Accomplice. Third act reveal.
I'm jut saying...
Reading a novel that is VERY similar to my main series, and I'm absolutely loving it. π
You might think, "Aren't you tired of this type of story after working on a similar one for 5+ years and putting something like 10k+ hours of work into it???"
Me:
It's crazy how that happens.
24.06.2025 22:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The least sexy part of any process is organization.
Every couple of days I have to set several hours just to organize the mess I leave behind, because it slowly starts to impact my progress.
And I think it's me but it's that the "organization" I started with has broken down.
What's funny is that the genre I dream in is never the genre I actually write in.
Even now that I'm exploring more genres, and my subconscious has ample to choose from, it took a complete left turn and went with: a dual-timeline, crime mob narrative (Godfather meets Sleepers).
Um, brain, that is--
Fun Fact: Sometimes, I dream fully formed novels that come out of nowhere. π΄
Last night was one of those nights.
And this time, I outlined the dream as best as I remembered it and saved it!
It would be wild if I published a novel created entirely by my subconscious one day. π
I'll be starting the first draft of my contemporary romance novel today. α¦
22.06.2025 23:35 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That is so relatable. π
17.06.2025 22:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I mean, I found ONE notepad doc with the barest of notes. But I remember developing the story far more????
There were scenes, quirky dialogue, and a major expansion of the plot with key set pieces.
Or....was that all in my head???? And I never put it down on paper????
me, looking through my files, for the first "meta" idea I developed 10 days ago...and not finding it.
17.06.2025 20:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Story math is my favorite math.
17.06.2025 20:17 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Me, finding a place to add yet another crime fiction thriller idea to my compendium of crime fiction thrillers. π
17.06.2025 19:36 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I'm falling in love with this kind of meta-humor spin that you can add to literally any story in any genre, and it results in a story that feels a lot fresher. You can still hit all the genre beats, but the characters are more self-aware, which adds a really fun comedic angle.
17.06.2025 17:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sometimes, I just feel like complaining. π
15.06.2025 23:54 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Day 2 of working on a big project. And also headache #2.
I always get headaches when I really push myself intellectually. π
My brain is like, "I am too small for this shit! Slow it down! Slow it down!"
And I never listen π, so then it just bullies me with pain until I stop.
It's amazing how many times I tell myself, "Whoa, can you just...chill???" throughout the day.
Why am I so extra?
Wow. Congrats. That's a lot of books!
12.06.2025 12:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Will the course be online? Definitely interested!
12.06.2025 11:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have seen so many writers waste years + thousands of hours building modest platforms to market their books only to see almost no real sales results. Marketing my books this way always makes me anxious.
Then I remember: Sure, I can do THAT. Or...I can just write MORE books. I choose more books! π
