I don't know if anyone in the future will ever understand the psychological whiplash of going from the Obama Era to the Trump Era and how quickly and easily insanity and corruption spread, how readily republicans went full evil and how apathetically and pathetically most democrats enabled it all.

I love music. As a kid I'd religiously listen to American Top 40 (a countdown of that week's Top 40 ranked hits in the US based on airplay & sales) with Casey Kasem on the radio.

The week I was born, Crocodile Rock (Elton John) was #1. 😎

One thing I've learned is that at some point you learn who you are, what you're good at.

You can't go through life trying to be what other people need unless you already are what they need and it feels right.

The only people you need are the ones who need you when you're just being your true self.

Be who you feel good being, and own it, even if it isn't what someone else wanted, even when that person is a good person.

You can love someone without giving up who you are meant to be.

Life can be tough, so find the people who love you for being you, who give you comfort, and be good to them.

Sometimes you'll think you're super close to someone and something will happen to show you otherwise.

You don't have to take it personal. It doesn't mean you fucked up.

Honest, open communication has to be both ways.

Sincerity doesn't have to be rude, and kindness shouldn't be insincere.

You're going to meet people who you like much better than they like you, and vice versa.

That's okay, that's life. The only thing you need to worry about is trying to be the best you. If they don't vibe with it, it just isn't meant to be, no matter how cool you think they are.

Accept it.
