I can place one of my loser children in a trash bin as a motivational tactic, and have him fight other children for fun and profit.

When Binjammin wins, *maybe* he can take the trash can off. He know this. He accepts it. He hungers for victory and a world without trash smells 24/7.

The main character of Bobo Bay, Parfait, is about to hurl my large son Beef directly at the camera. Beef is indifferent about this.

Have I been playing this game non-stop for days? Yes.

Do I have a large child named Beef? Also yes.

Do they have a Patreon with a more-complete early access version for subscribers? Of course yes.

This game is worth it. It definitely deserves your attention.

Dumb as it was, "F to pay respects" had humanity behind it, and most of its meme-ness comes from making fun of that moment and by proxy the people who made it that thought it would land.

But no one thinks or cares if AI slop lands. It doesn't have enough soul to even be a meme.

Sure, it's weird and funny to watch a train platform melt into a train, because the AI is truly barely functioning as a narrative engine.

But the only intentionality is from the slop-peddlers pushing this, and they truly don't care what their creation creates. No human element, you can't relate.

Some dork in an office somewhere stumbling: "HERE'S how we make PLAYERS feel FEELINGS with a CONTROLLER" is both funny and relatable. We've all known someone (or ourselves) who has performed a well-intentioned cock-up.

Nothing an AI does is relatable, even if it can be funny in an absurdist sense.

If an AI plagiary machine generated "F to pay respects," you'd know it was because it garbled together a bunch of different ideas that shouldn't cohese.

It's no more funny than anything else the AI hallucinates, because there's no intentionality behind it. Everything generated is an accident.

A really good point about AI and games development.

"F to pay respects" was callous and gross, trying to simulate emotional impact extremely awkwardly with game mechanics.

BUT it was HUMAN, you could understand how a game dev would make that dumb, funny mistake. AI slop doesn't even have that.

Literally its one actual use case (without someone trailing along and manually fixing all the dogshit) is to simulate a concussed fever dream.

I'm not convinced there's much of a market for that, even among Call of Duty chuds.
