I'm running my fantasy club since June. We had regular meetings, and on each one we had a new Game Master (each meeting has 2-3 GMs).
Just this month someone appeared, who is running D&D... and its not 5e, but the 197x rules.

Played Millenium Blades for the first time yesterday. Unhinged board game that parodies card game anime. Not even really playing them, just spending cash on boosters and pretending to take part in tournaments.

Second retro PC up and running!
I still need to whiten the front panel somehow... but I can't remove it without de-gluing the cables.

I'll sit on my 2.0 Affinity till people test this, especially the "AI" part and what it does - that rubs me the wrong way. If it somehow copies/learns everything I do and uploads it somewhere to train a machine - hard pass.

If you work on #ttrpg games or projects - Affinity released a new version of their app, and it's uh... free. I still don't know what's the catch. Having apps for photos + illustrations + vectors + designing ready to print PDFs for free feels too good.

Trust me fellow human citizen. As a fellow (rich) human myself, I know how those "video games" look like. This is exactly what you want.

That sucks. Its a very fun system, but not for everyone. Players need to love to tinker with character builds and create the world with the GM. It works best with long games.
We had a whole post-apo tech fantasy campaign and we killed God at the end.

Yes, the characters do not grow stronger, like in D&D. At least not as much. Characters in the endgame aren't much stronger than during session 1 imho, they mostly have more options.
HOWEVER, this is also a good thing, because you can drop a big troll encounter on session 1, and its still balanced.

Yeah it's a neat fantasy game. Probably the best entry-level ttrpg, due to the amazing Box Set.
I wouldn't mind having some advanced rules tho - more character advanvement options etc.

Whitesmoke is an OSR game based on the Whitebox rules. Its a ttrpg to run fantasy worlds, which entered the industrial revolution. Simple rules + a lot of optional stuff to play with + a lot of random tables.

Peacemaker was almost 10/10, but then they ruined it with the last episode :-( The investors really needed a "come check our future movies out, to know what happens!" eh?

Magic system for my Whitebox hack.
Well... it's the classic vancian magic, but I just made two tables for light spellcasting and heavy spellcasting characters.
This will make designing new classes easier (or adding spellcasting to a character mid-campaign if they got it somehow).

The OSR I'm working on uses d20, bc I really dislike the idea of switching to d6 to check something, while attacks use d20.

BUT I use the method from the retroclone Warlock! - you roll d20, add your attribute, and if the result is 20+ - it's a success.

I want players to know that high roll = good

Work on my industrial revolution Whitebox hack is going great! I finished re-writing the rules. What's left is magic, monsters and the game is 100% playable.
Yes, attribute checks are added (OSR fans pls don't block me), but I tried keeping them as simple as possible.
