We played Moonstone for the first time during a board game meet.
Really fun and random!
One Page Rules is the most popular minis game here, but this will def be our game no. 2 from now on.

I really dislike Blades in the Dark (and FitD in general), so this is the perfect alternative. The rules are quick, but the chapter describing items is loaded with tables with stuff you can spend your money on.
No procedures and indie rules. Just spend a few pounds to get exactly 128 chickens.

I actually just ran a short campaign of Swyvers! Very fun system, but I'm not British, so reading the slang-heavy rulebook was HARD. I had to search online what some phrases meant and translate them for my players.
Our party has robbed a noble necromancer house and transported a vampire in a coffin.

Surely they will announce a Heretic/Hexen reboot in the style of the new Doom games and with the same budget.

We played Grimdark Future today.
Space Marines vs Tyranids (SM won)
Nurgle vs Orks (Orks won)

New Superman movie is good. No grimdark, no fallen antiheroes, no edgy themes, just full of good and hope. All the heroes are great (Mister Terrific especially!).
Lex Luthor here is pure evil, but at the same time you understand his fear and insecurity.

Ok, here's the controversial take: race-as-class is FUN.
I was against it many years ago, but when I tried OSE and we just had goblins, elves and deep gnomes, it worked great, bc it made these creatures unique and non-human.
An elf wizard in 5e will often be role-played like a human with funny ears.

Is the DnD brand and hype getting weaker? I barely get any 5e topics in my ttrpg feeds. Can't recall the last drama or "play another game" discussion. Personally I know only one group out of several, that run 5e.
Yes, I know that DnD still basically has a monopoly in the US, but still...

I thought the same many years ago, but now? Eh... I really dislike what they did with FF7 by stretching it 3x and changing the combat system to a 1-character slasher.
The Pixel Remaster of FF6 has the opera scene in 2D/3D and it looks great. Weird that they didn't do the rest of the game like this.

Damn, I really like the minis, they look proper CHONKY.
But I'm currently searching for a more fantasy wargame. My 4 40k armies are enogh for sci-fi/grimdark.
Still, I'll send this to my friends who love mecha.

One of the reasons I almost completely stopped caring about anime, is because there is an actual chance, that I literally won't live to see peak manga like Jojo and Fist of the North Star get a full adaptation, but stuff like "I reincarnated as my Sister's Armpit in a Dungeon!??" gets season 3.

Yeah, Thief 1 + Metal Age needs a refreshment. Peak games.

The player's book does a good job introducing you into the world. It actually mentions other regions in the Empire and beyond.
The big problem with WFRP 4ed., is that it was set in a MASSIVE world, but the book(s) was all about Reikland and adventures in Reikland - the New York of the Old World...

I read a bit through the rulebook and it looks ok. You need a bestiary tho (will be in the GM book).
Some controversial changes are here, but it is the most "modern" way to play WFRP right now, no doubt.
Characters also start out with interesting assets and skills, in contrast to older WFRP games.

I'm a big fan of FF, but man... it frustrates me so much, that MtG became an advertisement game for various corporations, so they can promote their IP...
I really miss the old "you're a wizard!" game, with three-block storylines and magical art.
Anyway, sorry for boomerposting.

I hate using cheats, I always want to finish a game legit.
But the fights in the downtown area are brutal. No idea how I am supposed to defeat Jezebel with my vampire. I already have 3 points in firearms and deal like 1-3 dmg, while she is able to kill me in 3 hits.

God I REALLY want to like Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, but I hate the fact that the only way to finish the game stress free is to abuse bugs and glitches.
Playing as a Malkavian with sneaking and charm is impossible due to the forced fights.

A lot of ppl are currently talking about the system, as WFRP is still more popular than DnD here.
Could this become the most popular edition here? Hard to tell.
