It represents a spectacular failure of the UK’s vetting process that Peter Mandelson managed to be appointed as US ambassador.

Following a by election last week which Reform lost someone has written “now you can fuck off home”.
Reform had made immigration a key issue in by election.

I saw that. Click bait over substance has a lot to answer for.

Almost all of the hacks in the Caerphilly counting hall appear to be crowded around the (losing) Reform UK candidate. By-election victor Lindsay Whittle has just been interviewed alone by BBC Wales' Teleri Glyn Jones.

Not even close.

Scale of Plaid win in Caerphilly is significant, not least because of what it says about the potential for progressive tactical voting in (relatively) high turnout elections to block Reform. Voters in this race knew it was a Plaid-Reform contest and voted accordingly.

Nigel Farage was everywhere in Caerphilly today.

He now appears to have vanished.
