Happening now in #Sydney! Macquarie under fire for violating its own #climate commitments and providing millions in finance for gas fracking in the Beetaloo Basin, as the bank's annual general meeting kicks off this morning in Sydney.
Macquarie, don't frack the outback. π₯π¦ #Fracquarie

            Utterly infuriating.
With the greatest of respect, Ken Henry, governments can afford to fund conservation, TODAY, if they cared. Please stop perpetuating the nonsense that we need markets to save the environment, it's an economic fallacy, a defeatist trope. www.rsv.org.au/articles/tru...

This is outrageous - hollow bearing trees (forest animal homes) going up - for what?
This is madness. Dense wet forest becomes more flammable for decades after an initial short period. Forests need to be left alone!

Great thread from last night's #urbanforests event with renowned experts Dr Greg Moore and Judy Moore and City of Boroondara team leaders. Covers integrated policy, planning, pressure from development, how to support urban biodiversity and the huge benefits of trees for communities!
