I mean it was the list, but I watched it on February, lmao
I'll try to watch Tusk *mumble mumble*

And ya know what? Let's tack on Mission Impossible: Fallout to this as well. I didn't know action was allowed to look like that, what a fun experience
10.11.2025 02:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Somehow I had never seen a Wes Anderson film before this year. Ended up starting with The Brand Budapest Hotel, absolutely blew me away.
10.11.2025 02:42 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0So glad this dude managed to prove to the world that he wasn't a good actor and just kinda sucked *before* he did the "ICE is such a hard job to do, you know? I just wanna honor them with my portrayal of Walker Texas Ranger" Fucking bozo, lmao
09.11.2025 01:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Watching 2005 House Of Wax for @casualhorrorpod.com's next episode (second time this year, ugh) and I have some takeaways:
1. I hate Jared Padalecki
2. Padalecki's character is the worst boyfriend in horror that's not a villain
3. I hate Jared Padalecki
Me: hello, here's my movie reviews, take me seriously please : )
Also me: Damn @axillion.bsky.social, so you're saying Hook was fisting Schmee, ey?

What's up people, got to meet the guys who made this one while at Eerie Horror Fest and needed to share this one with the world. Check it out on @casualhorrorpod.com, and more importantly check out the movie if you get a chance. Just a blast front to back.

A lot of offer states did this in bigger and better ways than we did, but to see a clear and concise push against the past 4+ years of incompetent leadership that directly helped contribute to the Trump election is incredibly comforting. Hoping the bozos don't decide to just rest on their laurels
05.11.2025 16:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hard to not feel delusionally hopeful this morning after the definitive blue sweep in so much of Pennsylvania, but especially where I live.
We dumped the loser mayor for somebody that actually seems competent and active, and the MAGA County executive is out on his lawsuit ridden ass.
Imagine deciding to be a "content creator" and you're no better than the baseless garbage that AI slop factories shit out just because you can't look up a name. This stuff isn't live, man, you have time to fix it before embarrassing yourself on stage like this
03.11.2025 19:15 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0For the sake of my spouse's wellbeing, I'm gonna have to ask all TikTok film reviewers to actually learn how to pronounce "Guillermo del Toro" before talking about the new Frankenstein. I've now heard "Grelmo" and "Goom-yero", which is just embarrassing on a lot of levels.
03.11.2025 19:15 β π 5 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0This shit is dripping in Peaks stuff, oh my god
02.11.2025 14:41 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Decided to watch Gravity Falls this morning and holy shit, it's crazy to watch this again for the first time post Twin Peaks
02.11.2025 14:36 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Final selection, in watch order. Great day, happy Halloween everyone!

A screenshot of my Letterboxd list "WOM 7: Halloween '25", which includes movies we're going to try and watch today. The text lists all the movies in release order, which corresponds to the posters at the bottom of the image. Rob's movie choices are at the top, and my (Noah) movie choices are at the bottom. Text on the image is as follows: Rob's Picks: β Bad Taste (1987) β Ju-On: The Grudge (2002) β Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) β Out There Halloween Mega Tape (2022) Noah's Picks: β Opera (1987) β Tetsuo II: Body Hammer (1992) β The Devil's Rejects (2005) β Hell Van (2022) Markers β β
Happy Halloween, it's time to return to the church of the great wheel and spin it up for some movies
31.10.2025 14:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1Saw GDT's Frankenstein and I'm still buzzing thinking about it. Insane that we had to drive almost 50 minutes to find a theater showing it, I really hope I'll get my hands on this in physical at some point

Literal work conversations I've had about the white supremacists 1%er that comes in and is "always so polite"
My brother in christ, he's polite to you because you're another white guy, that's how they work, he won't be racist to you because you're both "on the same team"
It was a blast of a project tbh, so much easier to make one for a specific person vs a general "get your ass into horror movies" list
29.10.2025 20:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In the funniest possible option we're going to be watching the first and last list entries, Halloween and Hereditary.
29.10.2025 17:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Made a whole list of "hey man, you wanna try and get into horror movies?" for my friend @borntorule.bsky.social as the most recent step in my attempt to sell his soul. Check it out, might expand this in the future to show off some other big genres/break up the "supernatural" block

*Huge red flag voice* I loved Philippe Nahon in I Stand Alone (1998) so it's fun to realize this is him in this too. Much more of a nobody here, I find myself missing his huge personality (thought it wouldn't fit in this film at all)
26.10.2025 15:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The poster for the 2003 Alexander Aja film, High Tension. CΓ©cile de France is on the cover drenched in blood and holding a concrete saw. This was the DVD cover featuring the text "Widescreen", "Unrated", and the press quote "It will scare the hell out of you!" alongside the film title.
#NowWatching this all timer for the podcast this week. Been wanting to rewatch this for ages, need to clear up my feelings on it from the first time around
26.10.2025 15:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I love live music! I love playing music!
26.10.2025 04:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I feel like a lot of us grew up morons. I donβt know anything about this guys tattoos but it is definitely something to at least talk about because we all know so many stupid guys who were somehow able to get through life without accidentally getting a Nazi tattoo
25.10.2025 17:29 β π 129 π 3 π¬ 8 π 0Sometimes being the movie guy at work sucks, like in January when I was asked what the best movie I watched all year was and I went blank. Other times it rocks cause one of the guys always comes to me to get a vibe check on any new horror movie that comes out
24.10.2025 21:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Really great review here btw. Having fun catching up on professional reviews now that I'm done.

I talked about it in the review, but I'll come down here to say HOT DAMN I loved the Super 8 usage in this one. Blows away the dream scenes in Black Phone 1, real awesome stuff. Wish I could get over myself for some of the rest of the movie, but this is incredibly worth watching.
22.10.2025 17:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wrote a review for @casualhorrorpod.com on Black Phone 2! I am aware that some of this reads like I'm a guy who hates fun, but I can't stress enough that I did, in fact, like this movie.
