He’s right. He could have won it by not missing an empty net from 3 feet away.

Again, my understanding was he was ready for this game. If that’s not true ok, but that’s what I saw.

Did he not skate the last practice? Reports were he was ready to go after last game.

I’d really prefer if Binnington wasn’t in net. Again.

Hmm, initial thoughts… I feel slightly better about the movie. The premise is cool but honestly it sounds like it would have been better as a season on the show. I expect it will take a turn at some point though. It’s still too action heavy, I don’t need to be sold on the action. Get me to care more

every shot-on-video, made-with-a-camcorder horror movie that's just some teenage friend group fucking around in the woods with some fake blood and a monster mask contains more artistic merit, human joy and creative light than anything AI has ever made or will ever, ever make

Really fun chat before heading on a much needed vacation for myself. Always fun to talk Star Wars.

I just saw What’s Eating Gilbert Grape for the fist time recently. It is indeed depressing, but what stand out is that Johnny Depp seems to be the only person playing an actual human being. Every single other character behaves like they’ve never lived on planet earth. It’s bizarre most of all to me.

Pam Bondi loves dogs. Always had them, one after another. She got involved with dog shelters and dog rescue, and once pulled off to the side of a busy road and got out of her car to chase down a stray. Another dog she helped was a Saint Bernard named Master Tank. She adopted him from a shelter after he was lost during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, not long after her own Saint Bernard had died. The story has been told but bears repeating. Master Tank belonged to Steve and Dorreen Couture and their grandson, who was 4, recovering from the murder-suicide of his parents and losing his dog during the storm. Bondi said the dog was a β€œwalking skeleton” and β€œdying from heartworms” when she adopted him. The Coutures eventually tracked down Master Tank, but instead of giving him back, Bondi hired a lawyer, who accused the Coutures of abusing the dog, which Bondi had renamed Noah. β€œShe lied,” Dorreen told a Palm Beach Post columnist years later. β€œMy little grandson begged her to take the dog home, and she refused. She thought she would just wear us down. That we were unstable people and would just quit.” The case was settled out of court, with Bondi securing visitation rights, but she never did visit. She got another dog.

The only thing that’s concerning is that they didn’t show any footage from the actual movie.

We’re allowed to hold conflicting feelings. The fact is she’d already had her Olympic glory and what she did was, on some level, irresponsible.

Trying to compete at her age with her injury should be a lesson. It’s not heroic to endanger yourself like that. She had nothing to prove.

Winnipeg = Albuquerque

Who knew!

Apparently Bob Odenkirk knows.

I do love his description of this city:

β€œ.. it takes a little while to get to know it, you have your favourite places and the people are awesome. The people are awesome.”
