31.07.2025 13:30 — 👍 1 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0I talked to a lot of people at Laracon.
Almost everyone said the SAME THING about why they come back (or why they already know they'll be back).
So I made a video talking about it (and some of my favorite things announced at Laracon 👀)
hint: so many things.

20.07.2025 22:20 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0As someone who loves Livewire, I often hear from folks new to the Laravel ecosystem (or curious about it) what they THINK Livewire is and what problems it solves.
But usually there are some things they get wrong.
So I made a video about three things Laravel Livewire is NOT.
Thanks Clay! It’s been a blast actually using AI without having to fight with it ha!

13.07.2025 22:06 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 1I feel like I was pretty early to the AI game when it comes to using it for code and my day-to-day life.
AI changes fast though.
And even with how fast things change, I found myself using the same AI workflow for the past 3+ months to code, create, and more.
So I made a video.
Hmm. I think that might be intended by Flux maybe? I’ll have to see how the React and Vue one handles this. I’ll have a look!
12.07.2025 03:02 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Interesting. I think the last I heard from the Cloud team, they were installed by default so you just had to start using them.
But let me take a second look at it!
I would still rather be there in the summer than in AZ. And I love AZ/Phoenix.

08.07.2025 03:33 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I know this doesn't mean much coming from the PHP guy, but writing modern PHP is actually enjoyable.
With the tooling we have in 2025, it gets harder and harder to write bad PHP code.
Plus, I'm not gonna lie... I think I found the perfect collection of tools.
New video out.

Had a great time at Laravel Live UK. It was great seeing @filamentphp.com v4 being released and meeting @joshcirre.com in person. Looking forward to next year!
12.06.2025 21:30 — 👍 6 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0Caching is one of those things that really is magical, especially with how easy @laravel.com makes it.
But the real magic lies in understanding when and how you should use caching and the options that you have for your specific application.
Here's some things to keep in mind. 💭
I’ve been using Zed (@zed.dev) for about a month almost exclusively. I need to make a video on what I’ve learned.
09.05.2025 15:02 — 👍 22 🔁 0 💬 4 📌 0As much as I love full-stack Laravel/React with Inertia, using Laravel as an API is just as powerful and can be used to incrementally adopt as you port over features or services.
So, yes. Next.js and Laravel can be friends.

Never too much context switching.

09.04.2025 16:46 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Could I interest you in some types?
I'll admit that I've never been a huge type nerd, but when I played around with Wayfinder, I immediately understood why this is a gamechanger (especially if you use Inertia).
So I made a video walking through some of its features. 👇
