Damn this was a hard one! 180 BPM and lots of downs, still didn't get it as clean as I had wanted, but I tried.

Yeah, having an infant is wayyyy different. Survival (for you and them) is top priority.

We would try to sneak in micro-dates at home during baby naps. But dating only got better when the little one got older.

Exactly! A lot of families have different ways of doing this. I just like the idea that everyone is on the same page.

Now, I will clarify, that even as non-lead parent I'll still do household chores during the day.

(helps me feel very calm when I play Exp 33 for 2 straight hours lol)

It’s seriously huge. Build empathy, trust and boosts happiness!

The heir wanted to go into our bedroom during my lead parent day and I just flat out said “buddy, this isn’t personal, mom doesn’t need time away from you, she needs time with herself. She’ll be happier and we’ll all be happier”

The goal is to create a safe space for both parents to get time to themselves. This has been huge & has cut the resentment down for everyone.

This doesn’t make parenting & sharing responsibility trivial, but there’s something about knowing you have some down time AND the system isn’t going to crash

We have a system to help with self care in our family, it’s called: Lead Parent

- we alternate daily and the non-lead gets the entire morning off of duties and can do whatever they want.

-they also get post-dinner off to do whatever they want since the lead parent has to handle bed and bath time.

Really can’t wait until I can switch back to Android! I know I’ll miss some features of iOS (some of the Mac integrations are fantastic)

But just having more control and options for my device is a win for me. Plus I may get a folding phone so I can start becoming post-tablet.

I think if the industry goes completely generated that this is definitely the risk. If they use it to create things beyond human scale, that’s interesting
