Has anyone written about how hyopcrisy is a necessary component of contemporary conservative politics?

Don't get me wrong, this is very clearly a testing ground for election interference. But CA residents (primarily Dems) overwhelmingly vote by mail so they'll just be monitoring old Republicans at the polls.

We have literal neo-Nazis working in the administration and still, little concern relative to Mamdani.

It's a reminder that for many, it's not just that they associate anti-Israel rhetoric with antisemitism. It's that it is their ONLY definition, and antisemitism unrelated to Israel is ignored.

Federal agents detain Little Village high school student, deploy tear gas in faceoff with protesters Feds wearing military-style camouflage gear and gas masks were seen tear-gassing and pepper-spraying protesters during the confrontation near a discount mall.

The Sun-Times is reporting Border Patrol took at least two teenage boys today when they hit Little Village, again.

One is said to be a 16-year old student, U.S. citizen, and student at Benito Juarez Community Academy.

In most situations, members of the press are exempt from dispersal orders and have specific protections against police violence as long as we aren't breaking the law in the course of our work. We shouldn't ever accept it as part of the job.

I've been shoved and hit by cops multiple times and every time it happens, I tell them not to touch me and stop aggressing on me. It doesn't always work, but they have to know we're not just quiet targets because we're "unbiased" or whatever. They're the ones making us part of the story, not us.

I feel like not enough journalists stand up for themselves in the face of police brutality. We should not be passively accepting of their use of force against us. They have no legal grounds for doing so and are committing battery against members of the press. Call it out. Don't cower.

The Bay Area appears to be getting the full Trump treatment.

He blasted the region and its cities as dangerous, threatened to send in federal agents and troops. Took steps to do so. Then at the last minute, he says he's pausing because of a great personal phone call with a few rich guys.

Well, the Coast Guard is violating the law by not having front plates on their vehicle.

I'll be real with you, I doubt they would even feel the need to take this many steps when they've just been lawless from the beginning.

It's crazy how blatant they are about their corruption and disdain for the working class, yet working class Trump sycophants continue to lionize him and believe he cares about them.

Quite an about face but let’s not take him at his word. Stay vigilant.
