If you want your city to solve the homeless problem, but you don't support any of the budgets or programs to provide shelter and support for the homeless, what you're actually advocating is genocide.
Keep that in mind when you speak out.
My brother was unable to go downtown to get his bus pass at the one place that issued them cheaper (for disability reasons). It was not a safe place to be if you were not white-passing enough. He lost job opportunities because of it.

Today is election day. If you have not voted yet, go out and vote, no matter who you support.
In our first election in 1867, only about 11% of adults could vote due to property, gender and race restrictions.
Now nearly every adult can vote.
So go out and do it!
a reminder that "death of the author" is not a balm to assuage your guilt for engaging w/ media made by hateful people
it's a media theory that ignores author intent, preferring reader interpretation
so sure "miku" wrote it, but you still gave a bigot your money and they're using it to harm folks
Also for the record, i am originally Franco-Ontarian. (We historically have good reasons to be suspicious of Conservative governments.)
