I think Visa and Mastercard may be getting a lot of calls about their adult content policies, but I just called in to PayPal and not only was there no wait, the customer service rep I got had never had one of these calls before (they were very nice about it.)

But for Itch, it's been reported (thank you community people who've shared side channel comms) that Stripe is the major processor bearing down on them. Note they made it hard to reach them.

If you're a Stripe customer, you can also contact support via website.

itchio putting out a list of prohibited material is unrelated to the impact our calls have. that's the list they were always going to have to put up. keep calling until the processors are made to give up enforcement of that list. do not stop calling.

i'm not saying DON'T email them, but calling seems to be annoying enough for them to set up a whole complaints box as a buffer

but you can't afford to stall when it comes to actual workplace disruption. even if a couple customer service reps at visa/mastercard have to listen to some complaints, which will probably be much more polite and concise than the typical customer service caller

people whose livelihoods depend on the games and comics and writing and etc. they sell on itch don't have the time to wait for some executive to get off their ass and skim some printed emails (which, lets be real, they are not going to get to within a month, let alone listen to). this is stalling

like its even a DEDICATED EMAIL for complaints. and i'm sure it was just made today. ain't nobody checking that emails inbox like cmon man

requesting reposts here as OP outright telling others in a post (said post having a fuckton of likes/reposts) to send emails instead, which is what these card companies want, is frustrating as hell
