I think your screaming clarinet is my favourite thing about the whole recording!
07.04.2025 14:11 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0this is the best recording of my music ever. this is one of my favourites amongst the pieces I have written, and also the most performed - at least 27 times by the end of this year. and why not, here's the score too

Very exciting piece - check out Rob's music!
12.03.2025 09:11 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I feel like the sound of harmonised electric guitars gets used a lot in the context of racing (I'm thinking of the top gear theme here really)
20.02.2025 11:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Really recommend Rebecca Saunders' use of this with double bass. Massively detuned. There's a solo piece and a concertante one - you'll often find it in cello parts in large ensemble works too.
03.02.2025 15:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0"here's when I stopped caring about x and started caring about y" - would love people's thoughts. 3/3
28.01.2025 09:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0so I think I will include lots of recordings, but need to find a good way to frame them, and also work out which pieces to include.
My first instinct is to frame it as how my approach to composing has evolved since I was in their position, at a conservatoire - sort of piece by piece saying 2/3
I'm giving my first ever talk about my music at a conservatoire in a couple of months and am trying to work out what would actually be helpful for me to say.
I remember seeing lots of these talks myself back at RAM and I did pretty much enjoy them, and enjoyed being exposed to a lot of music 1/3
Milhaud - Corcovado from Saudades do Brazil (the remains the only piece I ever learned to play on piano)
14.01.2025 12:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0first bsky post!
Just published this live recording of "content" for sax & electronics.
This is a huge and crazy piece about the Internet, for the incredible David Zucchi & recorded at its premiere 2 weeks ago. Really happy with this one.
