hii we’re the women behind this upstart book app taking on Goodreads (owned by Amazon, bleh) & yes you know we’re indie and humans because we literally turned our pets into avatars you can choose when you create your pagebound profile 😂

Number of pages is edition specific info you can find by clicking “view all languages & editions” on the book page. Dark mode is on our user request tracker but lower priority since it requires designing & coding an entirely new version of the app, and we are focused on releasing new features :)

we ignored all the rules of social media to build our social reading tracker:

- no timestamps on posts/comments—discussions about books are timeless
- no algo, so clout and drama don't win by default
- no AI; we're 100% human

I've started doing something like this (not for every book,and just sometimes, but I like doing it, I feel like it helps me connect to the story more!) Some ideas I had for questions to ask yourself: Before reading: • What do I already know about the story, author, or world? • What am I hoping to get out of this book? • What do I expect the main conflict or theme to be? During reading: • What surprises me or stands out? • What are the characters really feeling or thinking? • Are there connections to earlier parts of the story or to other books I've read? • What passages make me pause or think more deeply? After reading: • What themes or messages stood out to me? • What did I enjoy or not enjoy, and why? • How did the characters change or grow? • What would I recommend to others based on this book? • What might I read next inspired by this book?
