As I frantically tried to get in touch with my landlord, dread consumed me as I realized I couldn't remember the last time I had been home, the last time I had cared for those pets. Had I been neglecting them? What had I been doing? I didn't understand what could be going on, until I woke up.

This morning I dreamed that I went home to my old apartment and the cats I used to have. To my horror, I discovered the wall dividing my apartment from the neighbor's was removed, her baby was on my bed, and she was enraged when I attempted to move it back to her side.
