Tomorrow I'm calling to vet to schedule our goodbye to old man Ben. He's 5 years, 4 months, an incredibly long life for a roof rat. He's got cataracts, is slow, and now has a mass on his leg. He deserves to rest, and no longer be in oath... the original little bean...

My tax return just came and left, but this should fix the septic issues

Little did I know then, he'd be MY little shadow, the one I go outside to play with, or walks, or parks....

He's not usually cuddly at night.. he runs hot, so at most he will be against my legs, but during an evening nap he decided to sleep on top of my chest.

Bean is getting his surgery at the start of March, my little Kindred spirit lol.

Ultrasound revealed I need surgery, and possibly the removal of an ovary. I have the pre-op review with another doctor next week to know the full scope of the plan, timeline, recovery, etc etc
