The Green party isn't even hosting a candidate page yet I can, through their personal website, get to the easy to read platform.
It cannot be that hard to host a platform page,
sincerely, a person who doesn't want to vote on the vibes

Surely you can tell that I have the botherall to look up these things and write this grumpy post---and yet cannot with that energy succeed at getting platform info. Gimme a darn list of stuff you aim to do.

Meanwhile, #ptbokaw, there is no Liberal party platform on the candidate website nor on the general party website. I can find out how to be a candidate myself, but not what the candidate promises to do. Why::::::::.

I'm not usually one to @ strangers but seriously, @ptbondp.bsky.social , if I go through the candidates website as linked on elections Canada and try to click through to the platform , I get a broken link. (Is it 'Priorities'? On Safari it gives an error; on Firefox it's not even a clickable link).

Every election for the last 15 years I have been able to eliminate 2/3 parties I usually consider simply because THERE IS NO PLATFORM AVAILABLE, before I even ask whether I agree with it. How can this utterly minimum requirement be so hard??

I find this really interesting as I had cause to analyze some breastfeeding videos of myself and kid#1 recently. Maybe it's because I'm also an academic & indeed EMCA but it's easy to see both here - so to Phil's point it's a situated Q how I will understand/use the 'findings'.

Any suggestions on how to respond at work to 'how's the pregnancy going' that are more interesting than 'all good no worries' but are less ridiculous than my automatic reaction to say things like 'well, I have my food shelf back' or 'look I can annoy the baby by bending over'

I have had a 'new significant tasks yes/no committee' for about a year, and they are Not an academic. It is hilarious trying to explain why I keep asking about whether to take on more free labour for academic brownie points.

Then it started up again with running away, constantly running away - after an incident where they nearly got into heavy traffic (we literally couldn't catch up), we said you run, we hold your hand, scream or not. 1 month later they stopped running away (could be age, this was only recently XD).

From around 1.5-2.5 we really struggled with giving autonomy - kid loved to stand up in their stroller while we walked & screamed if we insisted on them sitting. After many foreseeable accidents we took the screaming until they gave in. Or they walked, slow but walked with us well until around 2...

May I share a bit about our (now 3yo) kid who is v. independent? I think I recognize the struggle with autonomy vs. practicality (& safety). tldr; I wanted to say, cause I needed to hear it a year ago: it's okay to want your sanity while out with kid, they can have autonomy other ways.
