Either a typo, or there are very large parts of Fort William I am yet to find/explore. Enough to hold 5,603,231 residents.

Adding @arlingtonbaths.co.uk to the thread of β€˜using β€˜Grade’ to describe a listed building in Scotland’ shame.

Grade A listed…. Grrr. Buildings are β€˜Category’ A listed in Scotland. β€˜Grade’ is the term in the English system which is numerical.

Remember an American fella asking me that exact question when I worked in tourism. Young me was too polite to call him out as an utter fool.

Bonn boasts a wealth of museums. For my final day I did about four of them, including Bundes Kunstmuseum, Beethoven House and the Landesmuseum. The last one hosts another favourite Late Roman artefact. A 4th century dice tower!

The inscription reads:
"Picts defeated
Enemy Destroyed
Play at ease!"

Pictish stone that stood for 1,200 years 'massively damaged' as wind blows it over Heritage chiefs were told of concerns about the safety of Aberlemno 3 just last week.

Awful news about the Aberlemno 3 Pictish stone. HES surely will reconsider how these stones are preserved.

Putting the box on them always felt like an anachronism. But so much of their charm will be lost if this and their setting is changed.

Really really disappointed with the state this path has been allowed to fall into. C’mon Glasgow…

I don’t think it was intended as permanent, but it felt so fresh and innovative when it was built. A destination. Now it’s an eyesore.

It’s an incredible building.

I imagine the design brief just said β€˜Make it grand… Oh and marble.. As much marble as you can fit in there… then some more.’

Very high Victorian.
