That hasn’t stopped many a director before…

Tonight's movie was We're All Going to the World's Fair...had high hopes after I Saw the TV Glow, but it was a cross between two horror movies I hated way back when, The Blair Witch Project and The Ring. It's an hour and 26 minutes I'm not getting back :(

Started Adult Best Friends and just finished it. It wasn't bad as I thought it would be. Casey Wilson spotting (two scenes but made the movie), and nice to see Mason Gooding outside of Scream.

She should have been much more than a one-hit wonder (especially when Kissing You was in Romeo + Juliet in such a memorable scene...) "you gotta be bold..."

AKA, the first potential job movement I've had since April...

So tomorrow I have to do a trial translation for a potential translating gig…

I did some cool (new to me) trails at Homer Lake this morning. Saw deer and a turtle, and then a cardinal flying across the street on the way out. Maybe pics if Apple ever syncs (old phone has better camera).

LOL, mi chico no habla español, and I just showed him a minute of something that didn't download that was on YouTube in the dubbed Spanish, and he said the dubbing was so horrible. And this is the same actors dubbing themselves in their co-native language. ¡VOS porfa!

Also finished S1 of my Merlí rewatch today! *sigh* I miss Spain.

Today's Sunday Vintage Movie was Better Off Dead (1985), which was exactly the dumb fun you'd expect from an 80's movie.

Just finished the Gilmore Girls rewatch (although I still have to rewatch A Year in the Life).

As an aside these dreams have been making me awake with anxiety.

I started taking 5-HTP last week hoping it would help with ADHD, anxiety and depression (even though I think I need more dopamine than serotonin). Other than being able to remember dreams for the first time since my mom died in 2021, I haven't seen any difference. Also had a panic attack today :-/

Actually, most sequel series/revivals should be like A Year in the Life. Let fans catch up with their fave characters and know they're okay in a limited amount of time. The magic is easier to recapture when you're not trying to extend it indefinitely.

If they ever make another sequel series to Gilmore Girls, Logan's going to be a crypto tech bro.

I keep wondering if I should find a way to watch this show. I remember seeing advertisements for it while my mom was watching Dallas and Falcon Crest. It seems to be popping up a lot lately.

That was supposed to be an homage to Buñuel? Um...what?

Also, that was Kate Winslet's daughter? She was awesome.

Two movie Friday!

First up was Winner (2024), about Reality Winner, who I knew NOTHING about. Weird watching it right now, but I'll watch Connie Britton read a phone book.

Second was The Phoenician Scheme, and I think I'm done with Wes Anderson. All style and no substance, and style is all that.

Then take a train from Albacete to Cuenca, then another train to Oviedo the next day, then a road trip back to Catalunya. I'll be finishing up with some etapas on the Camino de Girona I couldn't do due to plantar fasciitis issues (which better not flare up too bad).
