Seattle is wonderful.

In Seattle, Ray Gastil showed me around the various waterfront transformations. Lots of TOD transformations and public art too. A great city for an urban planner!

Why do we like floating boarding islands?

✅️ Allows bus passengers to safely get off/on
✅️Speeds up bus travel times
✅️Safely integrates cycle paths and public transit infrastructure

Modal filters stop cut through traffic yet allow bikes and pedestrians to get through. In Vancouver, they also provide green space ammenities.
