Small, beautifully formed and packs aΒ punch Some museums can be just like the last one, blending into one another, buildings with rooms of artifacts in display cabinets too close to each other, surrounded by people so it is difficult to get a good view - but not this one. It might not be the biggest but is one of the best, the Corfu Archaeological Museum in Corfu Town.

My latest random thoughts - enjoy

Rethinking Euripides’ Bacchae – is history repeating itself? I love everything about Greek drama, what it tells us about concerns, questions and tensions in ancient times and how, through reception, it can be relevant throughout the ages to modern times. I a…

Latest blog post. I am very nervous about this one as I feel it's a bit 'out there' but it is how my mind works sometimes. But then I very much enjoyed thinking about it and writing it and you never know it might not be as barking at I think.. but there again.

Homeric Tears Sophocles’ tragic play Ajax was performed in Athens probably in 442 or 441 BCE. Tragedy was invariably, apart from Aeschylus’ Persians, set in ancient and mythical times so distancing the audience …

My latest musings. Don't know how good it is but I enjoyed it which is the point I suppose and I did find it a bit of an eye opener.

Next door have got a couple of bee hives so we thought we’d grow some wild flowers for them. There seems to be quite a lot if the same except in the middle there’s this one red flower, no idea what it is but I think the colour is beautiful. Does anyone know? #tinyjoys #flowers

Why So Many MAGA Men Look Like Joe Rogan The slim-fit uniform of grindset entrepreneurs and right wing podcasters can be traced back decades.

I want to give credit to my editors, who asked me to write 2,000 words on why Andrew Tate wears such tight pants. I submitted 3,700. They asked if I really needed to start with a story about the industrial revolution and I said "yes, absolutely don't cut."
