My dad stood by and said nothing. He did not protect me from her outbursts and did not support me in my assessment. He just stood there and looked like he was interested in something else.

I told her that she's only upset *right now* because the remote was not available at that *exact moment* and that if she would actually stop and think instead of just reacting and forcing her anger on everyone else she'd realize that being just a little patient would have saved her so much stress.

I shouted back in her face to shut up and listen to me. She was finally silent. She did not expect any response other than me "talking back" so she could yell at me more for being disrespectful. I explained how the device worked and that once I log in I never need the remote or anything else again.

She yelled up the stairs for me to bring back the remote and screamed that I am to never, ever, touch her account again. I attempted many times to discuss the situation with her, but she would only shout over me. Eventually I pushed her away from me and forced her to sit down at the kitchen table.

I was not able to enact this plan. My mother, who was not at home when I started this, began yelling about not being able to find the remote. She looked at the TV screen and saw a prompt she didn't recognize and immediately turned to shrieking about me breaking everything.

I decided to grab the remote for the main television downstairs, take it upstairs, and type in the numbers on the remote for the screen downstairs while looking at the screen upstairs. I did this to avoid running up and down the stairs multiple times.

At one point, it asked to sync with the other device, which required that I enter information on the other TV that appeared on this TV.

I took this out and went directly to my workshop, which, due to dream logic, happened to be located on the second floor of my parents' old house. I plugged it in and turned on the TV. The device displayed a login on screen, and I went through the prompts.

In the box as well were a few long, thin pieces of electronics. One of them was a device to plug into a television that would allow access to a paid subscription service. I had ordered it to use the shared account I paid for on my workshop TV in addition to the main television in the living room.

I received a delivery, which was a regular delivery of supplies for my laser engraver. In it were five round stone coasters and five square stone coasters. Upon seeing these I decided that I had enough of them and I needed to switch to ordering a steady supply of wooden coasters in the same shapes.

I share the same trauma and go through the same trials as others who I identify as women because others identify me as a woman but I am not a woman.

I have never been a girl, a woman, anything like that. People tell me I am and what I *should* like or do and that's never been true. I have female parts but I am not a woman.

Every time I'm referred to with feminine terminology is a reminder that I was assigned female at birth. It hurts me in a way I can't really describe adequately to anyone and I didn't think anyone will ever understand, so I just avoid people.
