Yeah, I cried the moment that sank in infront of everyone. Kudos to my therapist for helping me heal and figure out how to let go of my previous shame of crying and feeling grief.

Took my 15 yo cat to the cardiologist to confirm some things her vet suspected based on a heart murmur first heard last July.

(Her heart isnt tech. too big. Rather it's thickened because of a genetic predisposition her known-breed has. But "you made you're heart too thick" sounds weird, ya know?)

I said it was great and jokingly asked if I could changed the class title badge to have an additional "Not a stunt class!" message - just to hammer in the point. My boss and I bounced the joke back and forth and what we ended up with was this utter masterpiece:

So my boss was working on the actor newsletter with all of our offseason events and classes. He sent me a preview of my section:

We made surveys last year to figure out what actors want from classes. What I got back: Great class - thought it was going to be about stunts

One role I have is Stunt Coordinator. Surveys told us the actors ASSUMED it was a stunt class because of the teacher. (It has NEVER been advertised as such)

I work at a haunt and we teach classes to help our actors develop. One of my classes is all about movement, silhouettes, and ones physicality. However this class hasn't been well attended the last two years despite my boss thinking it's one of the top 3 for actors, especially new ones.

(Also that just felt like the appropriately dramatic way to respond. I'm super fucking down! How do you wanna do this trade?)

After I finish sorting through some non-art things I'm thinking of going back to the ArtBox and make a thread over my favorite re-discoveries

School note between me and an unknown person during a class. They ask for a razor blade which causes me confusion and I wonder if I was suppose to bring one for this particular class. The other person explains they have a kneaded eraser stuck to their shoe. An agreement is made to grab the razor blade from my backpack after class with hand-frawn smilies to further convey joy over the forseen- end of the gummed-up shoe

Sorting through and tossing shit out (a visit to my parent's hoarder-home is, unsurprisingly, motivating) and I've stumbled across the artbox holding selected -pages from long-discarded sketchbooks. Amongst them is this note from some art class and it tickles me everytime I'm reminded it exists

I'm more concerned about what will happen to Transformers than I am about DnD, ngl. (But I've also never played a single dnd game that wasn't some level of heavily homebrewed and/or altered. One was even 100% "theater of the mind" with no map or minis for the battles)

First one was a last-minute surprise me and a cast member made as a thank you to our bosses. After tht I decided to keep making them - so each subsequent cover highlights a new feature built specifically for that season.

Anyway - there's a story behind this piece but it's long and I'm on a break from work with projects that have a HARD deadline tonight, so if people are interested I'll share the story some other time.

(and finish old ones - like this one - that I'm still invested in) so give me a month to settle into the new changes at work as we fully wrap up our season and I should be posting...Not regularly necessarily, like a routine or schedule, but I'll at least be posting things.)

Work/life balance was completely broken for most of those 2 years so hence it was so fractured but things are getting so much better and I'm starting to have time&energy to do my own projects again.

Tangent: when Sweden did a longitudinal study across their population of the disorders that ADHD put you at higher risk for, the short answer was "All of them."

I had to mark them because I know someone here would just assume l was sipping on a gallon of milk while sewing and forgot to put it back in the fridge and, while plausible, I'd like to deny that that's something I've ever done or would do.

Whenever I start to entertain the thought that I'm normal something on my desk leaps up to slap me in the face and remind me that I'm not. (Feel free to add your own odd desk-inhabitants. The less context the better)
