🗳️ EMPL-committee @aliciahoms.bsky.social votes on the new #Traineeship Directive on 22–23 Sept, with the EP plenary mandate vote scheduled for Oct.

Even if the EP supports a strong stance (which is likely), the Council’s weak, minimalist position means negotiations will be tough.

Would be useful to get more detail from the Commission on the rationale, as the budget proposal is light on information.

After social partners failed to reach an agreement & talks stalled in @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu's chambers,

Commissioner @roxanaminzatu.bsky.social has now launched a final consultation on telework & the right to disconnect.

If social partners refuse new talks, expect a 2026 proposal.
