AWW CUTIES. She is doing okay! The vet said that it is not harming her quality of life, but we need to figure out what is wrong to give her the right medication (if she needs any!) It is possible she may not need medication or surgery at all so paws crossed. 🤞

I agree! And thank you so much I’m excited for it! There are plenty of nice people too don’t get me wrong. Definitely in the comic arts and animation department there are people who are very kind. But I’m in Illustration with a comics minor, so it’s a mixed bag. I like drawing mice what can I say 🤷🏻‍♂️

So people make snarky remarks on how I rarely do portraiture or real life people (if I express feeling burnout on those kinds of assignments). However, I do think it’s also because they wish they had some aspects of my work, as I wish I could have their skills in portraiture!

People are nice too! but it’s also insanely competitive and sometimes people are standoffish or rude BECAUSE they like your work 😭. I don’t draw realism a lot besides in my foundational classes I took- so I don’t consider it my strong suit. I’m better at fantasy, backgrounds, and animals.

It's frustrating since we put just as much passion, emotion and meaning behind our work as cartoonists and it all leaves a huge impact on people's lives. Making fantasy art of critters that leave a smile on people's faces means a lot more to me. Trying to ignore the snarky "more animals?" YES MORE!
