In that case, please campaign to have more housing built near you, including a lot of social housing, taking the hit to the value of your own house, campaign for better nursery provision that doesn’t cost a mortgage every month, and for at least local living wage for every job.

There are increasingly fewer young people for the number of retirees. The system nearly does not stack up any more.

Virtually *none of us*, apart from immigrants who arrive educated and return to their home country in retirement, pay enough as much into the system as we cost over a lifetime.

What happens to future generations will be far worse. Getting current retirees to care about the future of their children and grandchildren is the issue.

Rule number 1 of conservative so-called leadership: never admit guilt, never apologise.
