I agree about PR. Not sure myself whether I could bring myself to vote Tory to stop Reform winning. (Increasingly little difference between them anyway.)
Fortunately for me, I don’t think that will be my choice.

In my opinion, we urgently need some form of proportional representation in the UK to reduce the risk of an extreme-right government and to make tactical voting unnecessary.
Not to mention that it is fairer and could increase voting as votes become more meaningful.

Curious: In GB for voters who broadly think of themselves as Labour, Lib Dem or Green supporters would you be willing to vote Tory to stop Reform winning in your constituency? Would it depend upon the specific candidate?

That’s right. She also needs to talk to the bank to see if there is any money. It sounds like there isn’t any money but, if there is, the banks can unfreeze some for essential bills such as funeral costs.

She needs to have an estimate of the estate value for probate - with or without a will. She does need to try to establish whether there is a will though. Not only for the terms, but a different executor may have been named. She should try the National Will Register.

I've had to apply for Grant of Probate a couple of times in the last few years. Each time it took a couple of months. The probate process itself took about 10 months from the date of death.
Obv it will all be quicker in #TheArchers even though dealing with a farm would be more complex.

I can't remember the last time I heard anyone order a steak well done - but it fits with George's character.
