You can ignore the bit about who answered the door - it was Lilian as her name was mentioned.
But that wasn’t George at her door (despite what the official summary says). He was banging on a different door - also not Jazzer’s.

It may have also been to bring Jazzer back into the George attacker debate. Jazzer wasn’t the attacker but, from his behaviour on NYE, he knows a lot more than he has said so far.

Bill had nothing to do with the attack. Amber is just hiding that Bill was going to take her home.
George is correct that he saw the car, but has jumped to the wrong conclusion.
