Like nothing weightlifting has thrown at me compares to the 25 minute solid uphill ride home at the end of a day of work.

I am glad, after all my anxiety about it, that weightlifting feels Good and also fun.

I do think that a lot of uphill cycling has helped prepare me for the more difficult/painful/uncomfortable bits.

This espresso tastes the way that completely new shoes or clothes smell.

I don't dislike it.

Ooooooh, meal 1. Looks like some lovely reverse seared pork, with a pan sauce of... oh my. Leeks and white wine? Damn. On a tasteful white plate with a blue floral pattern, too.

Mmmmmmm, did somebody say pilaf? Why yes they did. And when they said it, they also called for cucumber and avocado salad with a couple jammy soft boiled eggs all slathered in hot sauce.

Last up it's a saucy little number. Some crispy chicken laying on a base of chickpea salad. It looks delightful and refreshing.

Lately I have made: some food

Am currently attempting to muster up the energy and power to not care about work, and increasingly say, "I did my hours, I don't care."

This will prove deeply challenging to me.

It has been deemed (by me and my doctor) that I am too stressed out right now. So. Deactivating bsky for a while. Most folk here have some sort of way to contact me. So. Later!

I am back to my long hours at work, and also a lot of people being very stressed out and short on temper. For most of this next few months, I think I'll be pushing through by thinking of:

1) This will (very likely) be the last season with this office
2) Planned days to go pick up heavy things

Made shrimp curry tonight. It has become a favourite post workout meal, and mmmmmmmmm.

Exactly this! I will say that the first episode definitely makes me wonder what, exactly, the series itself/the rest of the episodes will be. I enjoyed it, but, "Two friends ramble for an hour," is a format that only goes so far for me.
