They did it. They pulled it off. The Naked Gun is easily one of my favorite films of the year. It just machine-guns jokes in a way that I missed so much. It is stupid. It is nonsense. It broke me and remade me. I'm a better man for having witnessed this movie. Go see it in a theater with a crowd.

I've had this headline rattling around in my brain since January and I finally wrote it. Been hearing too many people in the startup world buying into the neoractionary nonsense that maybe a little light fascism is good for silicon valley. It's not. It's very, very bad.

Do I need to pretend to be weirded out by younger generations? Do I need to engage with each new slang term as if it is mystifying and intimidating? Am I supposed to worry about whether they like my pants? Or can I just do what I did today, which was puke in parking lot weeds bc it was too hot out

folks at MSFT + subsidiaries are frequently saying “sorry, I’m using [AI tool] for this because I want to keep my job, not sure if it will work for this!” to understanding nods from colleagues. Everyone out there patiently doing their best amidst some bizarre exec behavior.
