The garden has wooden decking, plant pots with plants, a red leaved tree, and a grassy slope with two dogs barking. The border to the neighbour's garden has a brick wall and shed, both of which have cats on. Beyond the garden is a view for miles of autumnal tress and fields. A train is visible in the distance.
View Over The Valley.
This painting is based off a view near me, naturally, loved working with the autumnal colours and creating a little space for two people and their dogs to live π§‘
The left side is a mixture of people drawn in pink and purple ink, surrounded by green watercolour. The right side is 9 watercolours Japanese cocktails surrounded by pink and purple watercolour.
Big projects and commission work means I haven't been able to share much art lately, so have some recent Sketchbook Exploration.

This is a nice colourful spread and some much needed gentleness amongst the bigger stuff.
Strangest moment when I offer to make a round of tea for everyone in the house and they all say "no thank you"...
Like, has everyone been replaced with replicas? What is happening?!
Yes I missed a good "5 NEW(ISH) PRINTS IN MY SHOP (NUMBER 5 WILL SURPRISE YOU)" moment but I did here for posterity.

My shop has been updated with 5 images from an old project to celebrate the new season!
(Since I can only upload 4 I guess number 5 is a surprise for Bluesky users)
They are printed on high quality paper and look just like the original paintings, support if you can! π

A Study In My Sketchbook
I am currently in the throws of a very big project with an ever looming deadline, so I wanted to share something from my sketchbook.
Here, I am doing some studies from paintings by Pre-Raphaelite artist Frederic Leighton, probably one of my favourites from that movement.
Watercolour painting of a child in a dinosaur hoodie wandering into the sea. There is a purple hue to the painting, with a hazy sun that sparkles on the water.
A painting of a figure in a pinkish blue sea. They are sweeping their hair back. In the distance in an orange bouy.
Yesterday, I sat outside and painted some images based on photos friends have taken.
The whole day was truly lovely, very much manifesting the life and feelings I want for myself.
Hope you like them.
Gold and purple painting of a femme woman sitting on a coach, looking out of the window, where we can see blurred watercolour images of cars and people. Her expression is melancholic and we can see her reflection. Her phone is resting in her lap.
The Journey Back
This is a piece I've been meaning to do for a while, based on long coach journeys back after being somewhere.
I also let the acoustic version of "Smiling At Strangers On Trains" dictate the mood of this piece <3
Done with watercolours, gouache, and pencil crayons.
A reversible image of two people looking outwards towards their goal. Upright we have a woman figure surrounded by herons, preaching to a pale city rising out of the ground. Upside down, we have a man surrounded by rooks, sailing towards a burning series of islands, with one untouched in the middle. They are joined by a light blue force that connects them, with small figures of the two of them dancing on both sides, with a circular labyrinth symbol in the middle. Above the woman is a golden sun, above the man is a red comet. There are small constellations visible in the force that connects them.
Same as the previous image but it is flipped so that the man on the boat is the upright figure.
Dearly Beloved Rival
An image created for the game Empire LRP, featuring my character and... well, her dearly beloved rival following their dreams at the cost of each other's.
Created in the art style of two nations in the game, made using watercolour, gouache, pencil crayons, and mica pigments.

Gouache painting of the Koko Head Trail in Hawai'i. There are two distant figures in the centre of the image. Our eyes follow a rail track down the centre of the image which shits to a different perspective above the figures head, with a town visible in the background. The image is surrounded by green leaves and long grass.
Perspective Check
This is a painting of the Koko Head Trail in Hawai'i, I was super inspired by all the shades of green, straight lines, and yeah, the sudden change in perspective - Based off a photo from my partner.
Done with gouache paints.
Haunting but gorgeous!
05.07.2025 22:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A watercolour painting of two people walking under a pride umbrella on a rainy day, viewed from behind. The person on the left has long hair with pink dye at the end, they have are wearing a trans flag as a cape. The person on the right is holding the umbrella, is dark skinned, has tight curly hair, and is wearing a bi flag as a cape. The right foot for the person with the trans flag is mid step so we can see the sole, which has the Lambda symbol on the soul. The left foot for the person with the bi flag is mid step and we can see the Queer People of Colour Pride flag on the sole. There is a reflection of their shoes and flags in the water, some of the raindrops are causing mini rainbows. The distance is grey, but rainbows are still visible.
We Keep Going
Based off a photo an acquaintance of mine uploaded, artistically altered in places, but the original image inspired something π

A watercolour painting of a black and white cat looking up at some yellow flowers on a wall. Just above his nose is a white butterfly and there are two others among the flowers.
Been super busy with projects and big paintings, so I went back to basics with this one, as a treat.
This is our neighbour's cat (who we call Moo Cat) looking up into some flowers opposite our house. I saw him doing it the other day and had an urge to make it into an illustration.

I have cried over the crumbled, chunky remains of bagels so many times where I have failed to cut them properly (it was probably a bad day anyway). So yes, this was genuine delight and they should be more common!
