04.11.2025 02:32 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Another oddball built on the aesthetically challenged VW 'Thing': the Safari Acapulco. Created as a special model for the Las Brisas hotel in Acapulco, it was eventually available for sale to the public. Mid-70s.
04.11.2025 02:17 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Volkswagen's cars had that virtue, at least during the air-cooled era. They were decidedly simple and could be put together with next to no tooling. The engine and suspensions were also very durable and easy to build and maintain. No wonder they sold so well everywhere.
04.11.2025 01:38 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yes, it looks like it was made by the smith at the town's barn, but this was an original model, sold new like this by VW of Mexico in the early '70s. The Safari Pickup was an odball that tried to convince you that two little rear doors were as useful as a proper tailgate. Migue is not convinced.
04.11.2025 00:26 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Ya sรฉ que no es (son), pero por un momento pensรฉ, "aaah!! Lucรญa!!!!!" XD
02.11.2025 18:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Once upon a time, taillighs were embedded in the bumper. They looked great... but usually changing a blown bulb was a major repair job, requiring to remove the bumper completely. When the government-mandated 5 mph bumpers appeared, this very 70s design cue had to disappear. 1972 Plymouth Satellite.

02.11.2025 06:25 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's a campervan, alright. But not any campervan: based on the Hormiga, a strange truck built by VW of Mexico between 1975 and 1978, it's a front-wheel-drive, mid-engined monstrosity powered by the Beetle's air-cooled engine. Roughly the same size as the VW Transporter, it was fully equipped!
02.11.2025 06:19 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 01961 Plymouth Suburban. I might finish this one some day.
02.11.2025 03:38 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sounds very promising! I will definitely read it, the trio has some very funny adventures! ๐
30.10.2025 01:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oooh, that sounds interesting!!! Will we get to know a bit more of Marcus' story?
27.10.2025 18:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The kiddo is choosing the color for the latest project: a 1961 Plymouth. What color should he use?

23.10.2025 14:06 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For any OS,UI or pay to play platform to become the future they first need to succeed in engaging the users. Win 8 et al were so blatantly pay oriented and different that it alienated many users, myself included. I completely skipped that version of the operating system, migrated from win 7 to 10.
23.10.2025 14:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Congrats on a very good story! Now I see Clyde under a very different light, turns out I might share more personality traits with him than I ever imagined. ๐
Great piece of art he produced there... and with the brush in his nose! XD
That would be great! I would definitely read whatever you write. You have a real talent for storytelling, buddy, never forget (or doubt) that.

Migue managed to bring a classic Taxi (a 'crocodile', as these were known) to the little mining town of El Oro. He's hopeful to work it enough to earn money for the gas and tolls for the return trip. ๐

XD I love it!! Cody has serious anger management issues, huh? XD He needs to lighten up, or he might get an ulcer. I think Chris and Tucker can definitely help him smile with their antics. ๐
22.10.2025 22:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I liked it a lot, buddy. Definitely a very good story, very well narrated and written. I could definitely imagine it turned into a comic with your beautiful drawings. ^^Thank you for sharing it!
22.10.2025 22:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I really liked how Finn, knowing the real abilities of his friend, was supportive of the idea that he should also enter the show. And I agree with Clyde, the best art is the one that you like. And Marcus was brilliant improvising that performing art exhibition (poor Finn, though. XD!!!!!)
22.10.2025 22:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's very good!!! I really liked it!!!! And it helps understand Clyde a lot better, he's a gifted kid who doesn't like the pressure of being a genius of sorts. He might be a bit dispersed, but can definitely focus when he sets his mind on it, and with the proper incentive he can use his arts skills.
22.10.2025 22:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0One of my teachers in college said that McDonald's business is NOT selling burgers; they sell toys.
Then he explained that toys are a huge stimulus for their objective market (kids) to go to their stores and buy their toys with a burger on the side. Made sense, and that was... 20 years ago I think!
I have a question regarding Gadget's lore: when he loses his arm, does he feel anything? And how did he lose his arm in the first place? He is a very interesting character, with lots of facets.
