Yesterday, on our #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay, our Project Development Co-ordinator Gareth attended an event hosted by Ovo Energy. He gave one-to-one energy advice to many attendees, speaking to them about their unique energy challenges and solutions available to them.

Applications for our bursary scheme for our upcoming #FuelPovertyConf close tomorrow. We want to enable attendance from those organisations which would not usually be able to pay to attend conference.

We have discussed issues including our #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay, the Budget2026 and our fundraising campaign with Skipton Building Society and Age UK. Thank you for helping us get such important messages out to members of the public and key policymakers.

We work closely with media outlets to make sure fuel poverty is on the news agenda. In the last two weeks we have had over 500 media mentions and appearances, across TV, print and radio.

Today is our #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay but we work all year round to alleviate fuel poverty. Over the last few years, we've worked on our #WarmHomesHealthyFutures programme to support people whose health conditions are made worse by the cold.

Thank you for supporting our #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay. 60% of Welsh adults say they expect to ration their energy over the next three months so thank you for highlighting the struggles they face every day.

We welcome lower bills but, on our #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay, our Chief Executive Adam Scorer warns the Treasury has removed 'the only national scheme focused on fuel poor homes'. He adds that this has 'blown a huge hole in the government's strategy to tackle fuel poverty'.

The cost of living crisis has had a huge impact on our clients. Parents and carers are unable to afford nutritious food for their children due to pressure of trying to pay their energy bills. Our #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay is vital in trying to highlight the plight of children living in fuel poverty.
