Bought the anniversary edition of Killer Instinct just to find out that I need an active internet connection to access all of the paid characters. What the fuck man.

In SoulCalibur VI on PC i managed to get the total system latency (from registered button press to change on the screen) down to roughly 2 frames on a 180Hz monitor with the mentioned tweaks and Special K.

High latency on PC setups at tournaments is absolutely not PC's fault lol

game is still fun tho :)

I've always held the opinion that the FGC needs to adapt and become more PC-friendly. I get the appeal of consoles and understand why they'll (rightfully) always be the dominant platform. But PCs do have their advantages and i think at some point the pros do outweigh the cons.

Like for a low latency 2XKO setup it should be as simple as
1. Set display to highest refresh rate
2. Turn on VRR
3. Open 2XKO
4. Disable VSync

Even with VSync ON (monitors there dont have VRR) people at my local haven't had complaints in regards to latency. So idk whats goin on

I think 2XKO should come out on console ASAP simply because its more convenient but I think TOs should also learn how to properly setup and configure PC setups. A lot of the complaints I've seen about PC setups are easy to fix misconfigurations.

tried killer instinct 2013 today and noticed that the soundtrack slapped. looked up who composed it, saw it was mick gordon and was like "yeah, that makes sense"

is this normal for 33 hours of playtime? i don't think im doing very well at this game haha

Looking at SteamDB it seems like Valve have just used this to take down a bunch of incest games.

Not saying to just ignore it or not be worried about it but Valve are (usually) pretty chill. They're pretty responsible when it comes to what stuff they let on their platform.

Just found out that the process of overclocking your GC controller adapter requires you to install an unsigned driver which forces memory integrity off in Windows.

I now have to choose between having worse Slippi Melee gameplay or having a massive security hole in my system.

even tho im sharing my music folder i still feel bad when using soulseek. like what if the person im downloading from is in a counter strike match and i just gave them a lag spike and they died. i dont want that to happen.

Ok that note, CS2's Vulkan implementation seems to be bugged (?) on Windows. Averaging 60fps on Vulkan compared to 200fps on Direct3D.
