Noted. I will not burn Hydrangea flowers. Considering I have the black thumb of plant death its unlikely I could even grow them long enough to bloom.

Personally I use one of those cheap salt grinders to break it up to a more mortar and pestle size. Doesn't get hot and saves my wrists a little bit.
