There's a lot to study from Zohran Mamdani's electoral victory, but I'm particularly interested in its graphic design. Vivid, unexpected colors. A hand drawn feel that nods to the grassroots nature of the campaign, with nods to old NYC bodega signage, metro cards, and even old Bollywood posters.

I took yesterday off from work to "celebrate" GAAD. I do digital accessibility work every day. I'm exhausted and needed rest.

The event felt even more performative this year, in light of the latest round of senseless Microsoft layoffs disproportionately affecting accessibility practitioners.

Brockport skews pretty young with SUNY Brockport there, and the most diverse areas are probably Gates and Greece - but you're looking at like 90% white versus 97%

Rochester was at one point the most racially segregated cities in the country, and the echoes of that still exist today, not to mention the suburban white flight enabled by (now crumbling) companies like Kodak and GM.

Unless there's a really good (read: lucrative) reason, I wouldn't recommend it.

It's nearly my one-year anniversary on the site! I've noticed a huge change in energy and mood of the community since I joined. I'm excited to see how Bluesky continues to evolve.
