22.07.2025 18:00 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1๐ The #StateOfHTML 2025 survey is now open!
โก๏ธ Take it now: survey.devographics.com/en-US/survey...
๐ก Spending time to fill these out is an investment into your craft, as browsers are using the results to make prioritization decisions.
You don't have to do it in one sitting (or even one device).

The new "State of HTML" survey just dropped. ๐

Usually, I discover many new things and HTML features when filling it out. So let's see, if there's interesting stuff in it. ๐งต

I think that was intentional, to avoid introducing bias and dropoff due to context switching away from the survey. As an alternative, you can add topics to your reading list to get more info about them after the survey.
The webโs getting powerful updates:

Image reads "Baseline features are now available in linters"
Image reads "CSS and HTML linters warn you if a feature is newer than your Baseline target"
Image reads "Baseline supports ESLint for CSS, HTML ESLint, Stylelint"
Baseline is now integrated into key linters. Get proactive warnings in your code when CSS or HTML features don't align with your Baseline targets.
Find it supported for CSS, HTML ESLint, and Stylelint. Read more โ goo.gle/4kxiHb9
I honestly get a whole dopamine bump of joy when I see things that make developers lives better by bringing lots of information together

๐คฉ If you want to check if a feature is fully supported in all browsers, you no longer need to change contexts or exit VS Code.
Starting from version 1.100 of VS Code, you can simply hover over the feature to access this information.

21.06.2025 14:12 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Does your organization rely on MDN for reference docs?
Do you often check browser compat on MDN or caniuse.com?
Do you use tools like browser DevTools or VSCode in your work?
If so, you rely directly on the work that Open Web Docs does and should consider sponsoring.
To convince your boss.
I'm going to allow this

Really proud of what we've landed in the past year, including JS bundle analysis, framework tracing APIs, auto-annotations, CrUX context, and deep insights.
That does sound useful. Maybe something the WebDX CG could maintain, like some of its other utils

Yeah! Ideally someone can subscribe to whatever level of detail they want.
- tell me about every step of standards+impl progress for Temporal
- tell me whenever any feature becomes Baseline
- tell me when Safari adds support for anchor positioning
- tell me when Chrome supports a new CSS feature
This sounds cool, let me know if I can help
