Does the UK video games industry have a class problem? A non-profit organisation is trying to create more pathways into the sector for working-class people.

The UK games industry has had a huge class problem since its inception. Private school kids with generational wealth were first through the door and overwhelmingly hired people from similar backgrounds. www.bbc.com/news/article...

There might just be a few boulders and caves between when you are and where you want to be.

I'm coming out of Develop still climbing, but maybe a little closer to the top than I was before 💙

However, Develop (generally) has been a reminder that great things can still be achieved, that friends continue to support friends in making the journey a little easier, and that despite the spikes and the flames and the hunger, there is still light and things can still be alright.

Considering it's recent prevalence, it's ironic that the Games industry is starting to feel like the game "Peak". It's tough, it saps your stamina, and it's far too easy for things to slip at the last minute, however:
