I know that healing passes through anger for me. It's drawing boundaries and removing filters, it's realizing that it's better to be hated than to bury yourself. I'm not remotely there yet, but I can only hope every bridge I burn lights the way there.

I don't like being alone, but being alone is very important for my health. It lets me focus, and it lets me look inward so that I can heal and manage the ways trauma wreaks havock on my body. When I'm with others, all I can think about is them and their feelings instead of mine. I melt into them.

I didn't go out of my way to scream it from the rooftops because that's not how I wanted to approach this. That type of post just gets to me immensely after everything that happened and I'd already warned the creator about it, but here we are again.

"Poor Ru doesn't mean to do bad, they just don't know how to do their job better :(" only gets you so far over 5 years. I hope their next game is a success, and that one of the lessons learned is to not do any management. I'm not getting my burn out and my suicide attempts fixed for me, alas.

I've decided to just block the creator everywhere. Every time I see an upbeat "well look at how well we magically made Mars Vice, tee hee!" Type of post is legitimately triggering.

Working with Ru was actual hell for me. Everyone else will go to bat for them because they weren't doing their job.

I nearly died because of that project. I was constantly blamed for shit the creator made up, and still one coworker chose to blame me for more made-up shit after leaving because I was the one they could get their hands on.

Sufficiently advanced ineptitude is indistinguishable from malice.

For anyone who is not aware, I explained the situation — why I quit the project after 5 years once I relized I was effectively scammed — very nicely back in March when the game came out. I'm feeling far less charitable at this point.

Seeing the person who strung me along with fake promises of royalties and IP for doing their job for 5 years post "lots of lessons learned from Mars Vice, now making the next game!" On LinkedIn of all places and I am this close to starting a mess.

I tried my best to explain why I was freaking out to my mother when she finally showed up after half an hour. She just turned her face away to make like I wasn't literally foaming at the mouth. I stormed out and walked 2 km home.

It's 8 pm and I may just go to sleep now.
