i tried a few and gelled with hugo. apparently it's not the best, but the easiest to iterate and understand. some people use hugo for speed and then move things over to astro for the features. but we just built ours in hugo with CD via github, hosted on cloudflare pages for free.

all the cool kids are using static site generators.

this AI cloud code completion should be off by default and @jetbrains.com really need to wind their neck in on default AI features.
