i turned midrolls off a couple of weeks ago. my ad revenue is now 1-3c a stream down from $1-2 but my turbo revenue hasn't changed. still 10-15c a stream. this anecdote is the best i can do for ya. :D
but i feel better not being interrupted by midrolls. that alone is worth losing the ad revenue.

every time i see this in my sidebar i unfollow the streamer. doesn't matter who it is.
paying for twitch turbo to remove ads means that i should get no ads.
i like being able to support streamers with turbo. but if i get ads anyway. then i may as well just cancel turbo and use adblock, right?

this is the part that stood out.
we lost twitch a few years ago to branded content. the advertising push, then partner managers disappeared, then sponsored streams started getting promoted in the sidebar, then push notifications for ads.
there's more. but twitch is now a dedicated vehicle for it.
