OK, but shooting phasers at stuff looks really cool and is pretty fun. I half of Star Fleet academy is about telling cadets to NOT shoot phasers at stuff.

Making video tutorials is very hard.

I've been saying this for years. Good science fiction is how we understand ourselves. It's a lens that distances us just enough that we can bear to look, but not so far that we lose focus.

When I was younger I wasted time on the things I had to "learn" to get a job in software. Forgot most of it.

You need the context of experience to actually absorb most of that information.

Slow down, make stuff. Build things that are interesting. Learn.

The world is optimizing for the former.

I'm sure that AI could do a worse job at vastly greater cost.

I'm not sure a Rafiki in any timeline would be that mean. I'm sure someone catches the Simba who is yeeted. (yote, yoted?)
