Today I got like 10 emails letting me know that the jobs I applied to with the Feds (OPM, Dept of Energy etc) were “removed” or the “vacancy was filled.” Only one I didn’t was an Army related position.

I have never in the last six years of applying received these & definitely not so many at once.

NASA employees were sent this email verbatim today from our acting director.

All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.

In this particular case? Cease the act of president-ing within 30 days.

Again-all of this is relative-do what you can, when you can, as well as you can. Not everyone can do all of this and some of it or sometimes is better than nothing, done never. Love always wins ❤️

Make local friends-build community and do things to help people, let them do things to help you. Grow food in a garden, upcycle what you don’t need, recycle broken things. Find free or cheap things to do and save money. Spend money on what matters to you. Try to stay as healthy as possible.

What to do: get your library card & physical copies of books (esp banned ones). Stop using Amazon, meta & ByteDance owned apps. Delete your accounts first. Move your money to a local credit union from your bank. Stop shopping at big box stores. As much as you can even if not all the time.

And my jaw stayed.. in place.

My poor dogs paws were frozen even after a quick three minute trip to go potty 🙄 sometimes I wonder why I stay
