Another #poem I found from years ago. I remember this day vividly:

Pit of grey, pit of muck
Wet dirt hole, you really suck
Plunging spade in dirty maw
Biggest mess I ever saw

I love those peavey heads! Pre gain all the way baybee

In all my time as a church audio engineer, the surest sign of supernatural activity is whatever happens to the speakers’ headset mic placement between rehearsal and service.

Room aglow with heavy words
Natural like the song of birds
Dare the heart to never weep
Plea the sun to set, to sleep

It’s just cruel that I can’t just live a post-technology life. I just want to 3D-print a Dagobah-style mud hut. Have a greenhouse atrium dealie, catch all my water and clean it, wash my hands with it and feed my chickens what grows. I beg you decouple the hamster wheel and run atop it

My young rocker is almost 8! He’s been a metalhead for half his life. I’m giving him every resource I can. He writes countless tunes, drums keys guitar bass and singing. Music has helped me in countless ways and I pray it does so for him. Gives an outlet, agency, sense of worth. My proudest work

Here’s some stuff I’m trying to do: creative acts (make music, write poems); help proactively (parenting, housekeeping); improve myself (kick habits, exercise, organize). Previously I’ve done poetry blitzes (24hr “I’ll write your request” events) which have been fun. I play bass and make tunes. 🐢
