Thanks @jamesstout.bsky.social for covering the raid in SD and the disturbing politics that run the county. The Buona Forchetta ICE raid was ONE block from my daughter's school -a very international language-immersion school where most of the kids have at least one parent not born in the US.

This was a good one. The perfect thick summer read with kids, drunk adults and an accident at camp. Stay out of the woods everybody and read a book. #booksky

Finished this last week. A fun adventure novel with a slightly unreliable narrator about the Alaska gold rush. A bit slow in parts but interesting #booksky

Please keep going. As a library professional in an R1 research library, I need to hear this reporting. Cutting-edge technology (even in research libraries) still needs humans, and I infuriatingly have to remind this to people well above my pay grade.

There is a misplaced period - that second bit is a phrase rather than a sentence as if the speaker used voice dictation and paused too long causing AI to insert a period. Human editing matters 💓 a human editor.

@desijed.bsky.social During the OJ trial, detectives pinpointed the time of Nicole's murder because she was eating Ben & Jerry's which was only partially melted when the cops showed up. Ben & Jerry's has a slower melting point than other brands. Was a teenager then but remember that weird detail.
